Meet Sonali, Our Founder
Hi, I’m Sonali Ahuja, the founder of FlatWhyte. I’m an electronics engineer, data enthusiast, and coffee lover based in Toronto, . But above all, I’m a mom to a lively 5-year-old who keeps me on my toes (and occasionally spills my coffee). Speaking of coffee, my go-to is a Flat White—and that’s where the name FlatWhyte comes from: simple, comforting, and absolutely perfect—just like the basics we create.
I’m here on a mission. My casual morning obsession with coffee evolved into a passion for sustainable fashion. Let me paint the problem for you: every wardrobe needs basics, but most of the essentials are made from harmful materials and wear out quickly. Did you know the average North American wears a white t-shirt 52 times a year, yet many of these tees fall apart after just a few washes?
That’s where FlatWhyte comes in. Our goal is to provide sustainable, stylish basics that are built to last—and most importantly, they’re affordable. We believe that your everyday essentials can be eco-friendly, durable, and easy on your wallet.
